"Dear New York" was a two-week community art installation held in October 2025, which transformed the entirety of NYC's Grand Central Terminal, as well as the Grand Central Subway Station, into a celebration of the diversity and humanity of New York City.
In partnership with NYC Public Schools, Vanderbilt Hall hosted two separate photography exhibitions. The first featured the work of ten professional NYC photographers who devote themselves to documenting their own communities. The second featured the work of over 600 schoolchildren from across New York City. Each child photographed and wrote about someone in their community who has made an impact.
HSAB Senior Violet Castillo was among the students whose artwork was displayed in Vanderbilt Hall.
