Senior Year Expenses 2025 – 2026

 After 12 years of education, you and your child have made it: the last year of high school! With just one school year left, there’s excitement and a bit of sadness as you look forward to the firsts and lasts. It’s a time to celebrate and cherish these moments.  You don’t want the expenses that come with senior year getting in the way of enjoying this special year.  By preparing ahead of time, saving and budgeting, you can make it a memorable experience.  Here’s what to expect when it comes to your child’s high school senior year expenses. 

All payments must be made by cash, or a money order made out to the High School for Arts and Business and are nonrefundable. Permission slips signed by parents or guardians are needed for seniors to participate in all events. Participation in these events may be determined by attendance, dean’s record, and grades. Please review the senior contract signed by students and parents in the beginning of the school year. Please remember that all dates and pricing are subject to change. See Ms. Cavaliere for all payments and any questions in the cafeteria office periods 4, 5, 6, and 7.

Mandatory Senior Dues: $165 Payment Due October 30, 2025
Includes the following:
Senior Meetings (Check Google classroom for dates throughout the school year)
Senior Field Day in Flushing Meadow Park 10/8/25 (Group Photos for Yearbook Taken/Snacks Provided)
Senior Bronx Zoo Trip 4/23/26 (Transportation/Entry Ticket Provided)
Seniors Awards Ceremonies (March and May dates to be determined)
Senior T Shirt 
Senior Teacher Swap Day 5/22/26 (Food Provided)
Senior Picnic Flushing Meadow Park 6/15/26 (Activities/Food Provided)
Senior Brunch in School 6/16/26 (Cap & Gown/Graduation Tickets/Senior Key Souvenir Distribution and Food Provided)
Graduation at St. John’s University 6/27/26 (9am-11am) Approximately 5 tickets per student
 

Optional Additional Expenses:
Senior Hoodie: $30 Payment Due 11/10/25 (Design voted on in Google classroom)

Senior Trip: $150 Payment Due February 2nd 2026
Hershey Park Time 7am to 8pm (Date 5/26/26)
Price per person includes round trip transportation, food and activities at the amusement park 

Prom: $135 Payment Due March 16, 2026
Terrace on the Park Rental (Date 6/12/26 and Time 7pm)
Dinner and Dancing, Decorations, Prom Souvenir, DJ and Giveaways
